The main tasks of Financial and Economic Management:

• Planning the economic and financial activities of the University to ensure the operation of the Atyrau University of Oil and Gas named after Safi Utebayev.
• Organization and maintenance of accounting for the financial and economic activities of the University and reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• Ensuring the integrity of accounting records.

• Ensuring full and timely calculation and payment of taxes and other mandatory payments to the budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the University, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• Development of a five-year Development Plan (budget); ensuring its implementation in the prescribed manner; preparation and submission of reports on the execution of the Development Plan (budget).
• Interaction with government tax and other authorities within its competence.
• Organization of university financing.
• Cost optimization.
• Maintaining accurate accounting, tax, and management records of financial and economic activities.
• Preparation and submission of accounting, tax, and management reports on financial and economic activities.
• Interaction with government tax and other authorities within its competence.
• Interaction with counterparties and financial institutions within its competence.
• Execution of payments in cash and non-cash forms as determined by internal documents.
• Monitoring current legislative and regulatory documents.
• Maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) documentation in working condition.
