Foreign students
Due to the fact that the procedure for entering / leaving the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan can be changed in a short time, arriving foreign citizens are advised to check the current situation before the trip ( http://www.mfa.kz/ru/visa/index, http://www.mfa.kz/en/visa/index ).
Migration registration and student visa extension for foreign students
- A foreign student on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan must have a passport, a migration card, a detachable part of a notification form with a mark on migration registration.
- A foreign student must, within 3 working days, notify the International office of a change in citizenship, place of stay, personal data (surname, name, patronymic, etc.) and provide copies of supporting documents.
- Foreign citizens, upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan, must, within 3 days from the date of crossing the border, apply to the International office to issue and extend the registration of a student visa.
- If the foreign student does not live in the university dormitory, he / she provides a notarized consent from the landlord indicating the address of actual residence for registering a student visa.
- Each time a foreign student leaves the Republic of Kazakhstan, he must notify the International office.
- To extend a visa in the Republic of Kazakhstan before its expiration, you must provide the International office with the following documents no later than 15 business days:
- The passport;
- Photo 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
- Completed visa application form;
- Certificate from the place of study;
- The visa fee is paid in tenge.
- To extend a student visa to foreign students who are citizens of the following countries: Russian Federation, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Belarus, they need to provide documents:
- Passport and copy of passport;
- Certificate from the place of study;
- A copy of the pass in the hostel (indicating the building number and room number) or a notarized consent from the landlord indicating the address of actual residence.
- Foreign students whose period of stay cannot be extended are required to leave the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and re-enter the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Registration and renewal of registration at the place of stay is carried out on the basis of a new migration card.
- In the case of a transfer of a foreign student from one educational organization to another for the continuation of full-time studies, it is allowed to extend the period of temporary stay of a foreign citizen without the need for him to leave the Republic of Kazakhstan.
