Industry competence center in the oil and gas sector under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

By the order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On industry centers of technological competence of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan" No. 283 dated 06.09.2021, the Industry Center of Technological Competence of the Ministry of Energy in the oil and gas industry was created, the functions of which were assigned to the NAO "Atyrau University of Oil and Gas named after Safi Utebayev" (hereinafter - ISTC).

The tasks of the ISTC are:

• Analysis of technological trends and determination of priorities for the technological development of the oil and gas complex;
• Development of recommendations for regulatory legal acts in the oil and gas sector in order to improve public administration processes;
• Drawing up a "technological map" of the energy industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Consulting on advanced technologies that meet the needs of the industry in the future, in accordance with the specifics of the enterprise;
• Expertise of the innovative component of projects;
• Assistance in the implementation of innovative start-up developments in production;
• "Foresight forecasting" in the direction of "professions of the future";
• Development of professional standards, experimental educational programs for professions of the future;
• Analysis of the industry's labor resources, development of recommendations for retraining and advanced training of labor resources.
