University Board of Trustees
The University Board of Trustees (hereinafter referred to as the Board of Trustees) is a permanent collegial advisory self-governing body that unites trustees based on their common desire to make a valuable contribution to the development of the university; to assist in the formation and implementation of its strategy, and to enhance its competitiveness in the domestic and international educational services markets.
The Board of Trustees operates on the principles of voluntary membership, equality, and transparency. The Board's decisions on matters beyond its exclusive competence are advisory and consultative in nature.
The Board of Trustees closely interacts with the Board of Directors, the Academic Council, and the university administration.
The main objective of the Board of Trustees is to provide comprehensive and effective support to the university in addressing its current and future development tasks, including assistance in:
- the functioning and development of the University as a center of education, science, and culture;
- ensuring the University's competitiveness in the Kazakhstani and international educational and research markets;
- strengthening the financial and material-technical base;
- organizing and improving working conditions for teachers and other employees;
- developing the material, organizational, and methodological base for educational and research activities;
- expanding the University's connections with governmental and public organizations, regional oil and gas enterprises, employers, and the business community;
- developing international relations and international cooperation in the University's scientific, educational, and engineering activities;
- disseminating information about the University's activities, including through mass media;
- organizing cultural, sports, and health-improving events;
- providing social protection for students, faculty members, and staff of the University.
