The Ambassador of Spain to Kazakhstan visited Utebayev University
As part of his visit to Atyrau, the Ambassador of Spain to Kazakhstan, Luis Francisco Martínez, visited Utebayev University. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the university's participation in international educational programs, and the exchange of experience within the global academic community.
The ambassador highly appreciated the university’s strategic commitment to enhancing the quality of education and expressed readiness to support the development of academic exchange and joint research projects. In the future, students from Atyrau will have opportunities to study at leading universities in Spain and take part in international research initiatives.
Special attention during the meeting was given to cooperation in the fields of modern technology and scientific research. Luis Francisco Martínez noted his interest in jointly seeking innovative solutions and expanding contacts with the Spanish scientific community.
Accompanying the ambassador was Óscar Lombera Vilota, Interregional Affairs Manager of the Kazakhstan branch of Técnicas Reunidas. The guests also took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of the Silleno plant at the National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark. The implementation of this project will strengthen the region’s industrial potential and expand cooperation between the university and the international company.
“This meeting opens up new opportunities for our students — participation in international programs, access to foreign educational resources and new technologies. We are planning joint projects and academic exchanges for students, faculty members, and researchers,” noted Gulzada Shakulikova, Rector of Utebayev University.
