UTEBAYEV UNIVERSITY – Kazakhstan-China International Engineering School and Joint Laboratory

The new school will provide students from the People’s Republic of China with a unique opportunity to obtain a double degree — diplomas from both Kazakhstani and Chinese universities. This will open the way for future engineers to receive fundamental training and modern applied knowledge, combining the best educational practices of the two countries, noted Rector of UTEBAYEV UNIVERSITY, Gulzada Shakulikova.

In addition to educational initiatives, the parties agreed to establish an international joint scientific laboratory in the field of petrochemical engineering. This center will become a hub for cooperation between scientists, experts, and students of Kazakhstan and China, serving as a leading platform for research and innovation. The laboratory will focus on developing new technologies, knowledge exchange, and strengthening scientific collaboration in the energy sector.

During the visit, negotiations were also held with the leadership of China University of Petroleum – Beijing. Vice President Zhang Guangqin and University President, Professor Jin Yan, expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and outlined new areas of partnership.
