Utebayev University held a welcoming ceremony for first-year students

A solemn ceremony to welcome first-year students was held at Utebayev University — a special and joyful moment for the entire university community. This day marked the beginning of new dreams and the first step toward great achievements.

The event was attended not only by domestic partners but also by representatives of foreign universities, including Dean of the School of Economics and Management at the China University of Petroleum (Beijing) Wang Jianliang, Director of the Department of Applied Economics Feng Liangyong, PhD candidate at the Institute of Economics and Management Zhu Jinghong, and lecturer from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Dr. Mohd Ridhwan Adam.

Among the honorary guests of the ceremony were Arman Kuntaev, Deputy Director of “Sazanquraq” company, and Bauyrzhan Moldashev, Director of the Atyrau branch of Freedom Bank. They addressed the students with warm words of encouragement and best wishes for their studies.

A special moment of this year’s event was the presentation of student ID cards to the freshmen of the Atyrau branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. This is a vivid example of successful international cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.

In addition, the ceremony featured the premiere performance of the new Utebayev University Anthem. The lyrics and music were written by the well-known poet Nurzhan Omirbai. This moment became an important milestone in the university’s history — the anthem, symbolizing the spirit and unity of the alma mater, was warmly received by the audience.
