Kazakhstan–China Center for Energy and Ecology to Be Opened
As part of the “Caspian Breath – 2025” international scientific conference held at the S. Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the China University of Petroleum, and the establishment of the Kazakhstan–China Center for Energy and Ecology was announced, reports the Regional Communications Service.
The event was attended by Rector of UTEBAYEV UNIVERSITY Gulzada Shakulikova, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of the China University of Petroleum Wang Jianliang, Professor Feng Liangyun, Professor of UTEBAYEV UNIVERSITY Vladimir Yashkov, Head of the Western Branch of KEGOC Nurlan Batyrbai, as well as domestic scientists and students.
The main goal of the new center is to conduct joint scientific research in the field of energy and ecology, promote the development of “green” technologies, and strengthen scientific cooperation between the two countries.
During the conference, issues of energy security, the role of hydrocarbons in the economy, the development of renewable energy sources, and the reduction of environmental risks were discussed.
