The I Scientific and Practical Competition “Green Scientist” is taking place at Utebayev University.
The I Scientific and Practical Competition “Green Scientist” has started at S. Utebayev Atyrau Oil and Gas University, organized by the N. Nadirov Institute of Petrochemical Engineering and Ecology. The competition has brought together young researchers working in the fields of ecology and science.
The purpose of the event is to develop students’ research skills, support their innovative ideas, and promote the practical application of scientific research to address environmental challenges. Students from E.A. Buketov Karaganda University, Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, and S. Utebayev Atyrau Oil and Gas University are participating in the competition. A total of six teams have been formed, with two participants from each university.
As part of the competition, participants are conducting laboratory-based work on extracting oil residues from wastewater. This experiment is aimed at finding effective technologies for processing industrial waste and ensuring environmental sustainability.
“The scientific and practical competition ‘Green Scientist’ will enable future scientists to contribute to solving current environmental issues. Such initiatives support young researchers in Kazakhstan and help strengthen ties between science and industry,” noted Marzhan Dosmagambetova, a chemical technologist and Head of the Research Laboratory at Utebayev University.
During the competition, young scientists will demonstrate their research skills and present new solutions for the environmental sector. An expert jury will evaluate the participants’ scientific concepts, methodologies, and practical results, identifying the best projects.
