Utebayev University hosted a meeting on the topic “New Environmental Initiatives and a Clean Environment: An Open Dialogue with the Akim.”

The event was attended by the Akim of Atyrau Region, Serik Zhambylovich Shapkenov, his deputies, environmental specialists, students, and eco-activists.

During the meeting, participants discussed environmental issues and proposed new initiatives to improve the ecological situation in the region. The main goal was to promote environmental awareness, foster eco-consciousness, and support scientific projects for sustainable development through open dialogue between youth and government bodies.

As a result of the meeting, specific pathways for implementing environmental initiatives were identified, and concrete steps for launching new projects were outlined. The Akim of the region, together with students and faculty of Utebayev University, took part in a campus greening campaign, during which trees and shrubs were planted. This initiative aims not only to care for nature but also to cultivate environmental responsibility among young people.
