Code of Honor

The community of students of Atyrau Oil and Gas University, aware of their responsibility for the implementation of the mission of Atyrau Oil and Gas University, considering it their duty to maintain and develop the corporate culture of the University as a center for training highly qualified specialists, scientific and engineering personnel for the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, accepts this Code of Student Honor of University and undertakes to strictly follow it.

Article 1.  AOGU student complies with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, AOGU Charter, Internal Regulations, Dormitory Rules and other AOGU regulations.

Article 2.  AOGU student knows and respects the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national culture, history and statehood of Kazakhstan, carefully preserves and enhances the traditions of the University.

Article 3.  AOGU student shows politeness, correctness and attentiveness in communication with other students, teachers and the AOGU administration.

Article 4. AOGU student treats any person with respect regardless of his origin and nationality, social status, religious or ideological beliefs.

Article 5. AOGU student strictly fulfills his academic duties, does not admit ethical, academic and legal violations, including: plagiarism, forgery, the use of cheat sheets, cheating and tips at all stages of various forms of knowledge control, the use of family or official ties to obtain more high marks, bribery, deception of the teacher and disrespectful attitude towards him, absenteeism and lateness without good reason.

Article 6. AOGU student takes care of the safety of AOGU property and prevents manifestations of vandalism.

Article 7.  AOGU student takes care of the library and information resources of the institute, avoiding negligent or destructive attitude towards them.

Article 8.  AOGU student, while living in a hostel, tries to maintain an atmosphere of good neighborliness, to avoid conflicts with other residents and the administration.

Article 9. AOGU student looks neat, his appearance complies with aesthetic standards.

Article 10. AOGU student leads a healthy lifestyle, strives to improve his cultural, moral and physical level, takes an active part in the social, cultural, scientific and sports life of the University.

Article 11. AOGU student must not commit illegal actions both in the University and outside it.

Article 12. AOGU student must not allow the dissemination of information aimed at destabilizing order in the country, as well as participate in unauthorized meetings, demonstrations, rallies, pickets, actions and processions.

Article 13. AOGU student refrains from participating in any activity that is contrary to the interests of the University, damaging the image and reputation of AOGU.

Article 14. AOGU student who has discovered a violation of the provisions of the Code tries to suppress it on his own or notifies the student government or the administration about it.
