Rules for conducting unified national testing and complex testing

1. To participate in CT, applicants submit to the admissions office of a linear university:

  • an application form, in accordance with Appendix 1-1 to these Rules, completed according to an identity document. At the same time, graduates of educational organizations implementing educational programs of technical and vocational, post-secondary education and entering related specialties on reduced educational programs with an accelerated period of study, indicate the chosen specialty in the application;
  • two 3 x 4 photographs;
  • a copy of the identity document;
  • a receipt for payment for participation in testing;
  • - medical certificate in the form 086-U, approved by order of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2010 No. 907 "On approval of forms of primary medical documentation of healthcare organizations" (registered in the Register of State Registration of Normative Legal Acts under No. 6697) (hereinafter - Order No. 907).
  • - graduates of the calendar year of organizations of technical and vocational, post-secondary education, instead of a certificate of education, submit a certificate of completion of training in the current year, issued by the educational organization in which he studied, indicating the code and name of the specialty (qualification) of training, in the form according to Appendix 2 to this Rules;
  • - graduates of previous years of organizations of general secondary education (secondary general) or technical and vocational (primary vocational or secondary vocational) or post-secondary education submit a document on general secondary education (secondary general) or technical and vocational (initial vocational or secondary vocational) or post-secondary education (script).
2. Applicants who submitted applications for participation in the UNT and CT are provided with a receipt (in any form) on the acceptance of documents.

3. Applications for participation in CT are accepted by the admissions committees of linear universities from June 1 to June 20 of the calendar year.

4. CT is carried out from 14 to 18 July of the calendar year.

5. Applicants take UNT or CT on the history of Kazakhstan, mathematical literacy, reading literacy (language of instruction) and two specialized subjects, with the exception of those entering specialties requiring creative training.

Applicants take UNT or CT in Kazakh or Russian or English.

At the same time, for applicants who take the UNT or CT in English, testing on the history of Kazakhstan is carried out in Kazakh or Russian. For applicants passing the UNT or CT in English, the language of instruction at the university is determined according to the language of passing the test on the history of Kazakhstan.

6. CT for applicants to related specialties on reduced educational programs with an accelerated period of study, is carried out in Kazakh or Russian languages for general and major disciplines.

CT for persons entering specialties requiring creative training, in related specialties for reduced educational programs with an accelerated training period, are carried out according to a major discipline.

7. For graduates of educational organizations who have mastered general educational curricula of general secondary (secondary general) education, educational programs of technical and vocational (initial vocational or secondary vocational), post-secondary education, the number of UNT and CT test tasks is:

  1. history of Kazakhstan - 20;
  2. mathematical literacy - 20;
  3. reading literacy (language of instruction) - 20;
  4. the first specialized subject - 30;
  5. the second specialized subject - 30.

8. For applicants for reduced educational programs with an accelerated training period, the number of test items is:

1) in general discipline - 20;

2) in the major discipline - 40.

The maximum number of points for UNT and CT is 140 points.

The maximum number of points for persons entering specialties that require creative training is 120 points for UNT and CT.

The maximum number of points in CT, for those entering related specialties in abbreviated educational programs with an accelerated period of study - 70 points.

9. On UNT and CT, 3 hours and 50 minutes are allotted. On CT, for those entering related specialties on reduced educational programs with an accelerated period of study, 1 hour 40 minutes is given.

10. For applicants who did not score the threshold score established in paragraph 43 of the Model Rules, who enter with canceled results and persons who did not take part in the UNT and CT, the UNT and CT are repeated for admission to universities on a paid basis in the period from 15 to 19 August calendar year. At the same time, applicants from July 25 to August 3 of the calendar year submit the following documents to the admissions office of a linear university:

1) an application form, in accordance with Appendix 1-1 to these Rules, completed according to an identity document;

2) two 3 x 4 photographs;

3) a copy of the identity document;

4) a receipt for payment for participation in testing;

5) medical certificate in the form 086-U, approved by order No. 907.

6) a document on secondary (general secondary) or technical and vocational (primary vocational or vocational secondary), post-secondary education (original).

11. Persons who have not scored the threshold score established in paragraph 43 of the Model Rules, based on the results of the UNT or CT, provided for in paragraphs 6 and 7 of the Model Rules, are enrolled in higher education institutions on a full-time basis on a paid basis. For these persons, UNT or CT is repeated at the end of the first academic period of study at the university in the period from January 20 to January 24 of the calendar year. To participate in the UNT or CT, provided for in paragraph 8 of the Model Rules, the relevant persons in the period from 10 to 20 December of the calendar year submit the following documents to the admissions office of a linear university:

1) an application form, in accordance with Appendix 1-1 to these Rules, completed according to an identity document;

2) two 3 x 4 photographs;

3) a copy of the identity document;

4) a receipt for payment for participation in testing
